Hi, I am Sachin Rudramuni
This has been my Journey from 2016 to 2025
Early Beginnings: Learning to Build Websites
While studying Computer Science Engineering, I taught myself how to build custom websites. In 2016, I visited resort and homestay owners in Coorg, searching for the confidence to officially launch my web development company.
During that visit, I received my first cheque from a homestay owner who wanted a website. But deep down, I didn't feel ready. I knew their expectations were high, and I couldn't convince myself that I could create a website that would truly help them become profitable.
I made the difficult decision to step back. I returned the cheque and told the owner I couldn't take on the project. Although it felt bad at the time, I promised myself that one day I would return to Coorg — this time fully prepared to help them grow profitably.
Launching My First Company
In 2017, I started my web development company in my hometown. I worked with schools, media companies, fabricators, and local businesses, helping them go digital. But deep inside, I still wanted to master building e-commerce websites that actually generate revenue.
Experimenting with Foodbind
To experiment and learn, my business partner and I decided to launch a food delivery startup in my city called Foodbind.com. From day one, it was a hit — minimal, simple, and effective.
I ran it for a full year, from January 2018 to January 2019. The success of Foodbind gave me the confidence to share my skills with more clients and think even bigger.
Building Chillbasket & Bscfashion: My Two Major E-Commerce Projects
One of Foodbind's customers wanted to take their business online and serve customers all over the world. They had a 80 years old brand called BSC, so we named it BSCFashion.com.
I built a location-based grocery delivery e-commerce website and called it Chillbasket.com.
I launched Bscfashion.com in August 2019, and it was a success. It generated over ₹1 crore in revenue in just 6 months. I was thrilled to see my e-commerce skills paying off.
It took me over two years of coding to build Chillbasket, and finally, in 2021, we launched it. I poured everything I had learned into this project.
Technically, it was a success. But financially, it struggled. Unlike Foodbind, Chillbasket wasn't profitable.
Facing Failures and Losing Direction
I thought about relaunching Foodbind, but by then, the market had changed, and restaurant owners no longer accepted my approach.
After two back-to-back failures, I felt lost. In 2022, my main client discontinued our services because, even after generating crores in revenue, they couldn't become profitable.
With three failures behind me, I realized I needed to understand how to truly help my clients achieve profitability so that we can build a sustainable business together.
Seeking Answers and Getting More Confused
I went deep into research: reading hundreds of business books, taking branding courses, attending workshops and webinars, and networking with founders at WeWork Bangalore.
Instead of clarity, I ended up even more confused and felt stuck in chaos.
A Turning Point: Discovering Daniel Priestley
Then one day, I read a book called 24 Assets by Daniel Priestley. That single book gave me more clarity than everything else I had done combined.
I bought all his other books:
- Key Person of Influence, where I learned the importance of building a personal brand to fuel my startups.
- Entrepreneur Revolution, which taught me about different entrepreneurial mindsets and long-term movements.
- Oversubscribed, which showed me the power of launching a waitlist before releasing a product.
I was hooked.
Joining Accelerators and Rediscovering My Passion
I learned that Daniel also ran two accelerators: the Startup Accelerator (SUA) and the Key Person of Influence Accelerator (KPI).
I joined both programs and, during a strategy session, I rediscovered my passion for the tourism industry.
Writing My First Book
As part of the program I wrote and published a book to share insights with my ideal clients. In 2022, I self-published a book on Amazon called Delight your Guests in Resorts, sharing the “delightful touchpoints” that help top resorts consistently earn 5-star reviews.
Creating a Roadmap for Profitable Resort Owners
That's when I created a clear step-by-step CAMPS system to help resort owners become profitable and live a happy life.
